Bhubaneswar:18/6-Following arrest of Sri Dhiman Chakma, IAS (2021 batch), Sub-Collector, Dharamgarh, Dist-Kalahandi on 09.06.2025 by Odisha Vigilance in a Trap case vide Vigilance Cell PS Case No.6 dated 03.06.2025 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 for demanding and taking bribe Rs.10 Lakhs from a local businessman, three teams of Odisha Vigilance have been deputed to the state of Tripura & Himanchal Pradesh at places linked to Sri Chakma for further verification.
The Teams are carrying out verification and searches at the residential house of Sri Chakma at Kanchanpur, North Tripura and house of his in-laws at Saminala, PS-Manali, Dist-Kullu and Rangbey, PS-Keylong, Dist-Lahole-Spitti, Himanchal Pradesh, on the strength of search warrants issued by Hon’ble Spl. Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.
Relevant documents related to deposits and investments in banks and other financial instruments, etc are being collected and scrutinized. Details of other movable/immovable assets are being ascertained from DA angle. Searches continuing.
