Bhubaneswar:20/5-Today Kalandi Charan Bhuyan, Former Jr. Accountant-cum-Lease Clerk, office of DFO, (Territorial), Bolangir (Retired), who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance vide Sambalpur Vigilance PS case No.16 dt.27.06.2019 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 for demanding and taking bribe Rs.10,000/- from a complainant for permission to cut the exempted trees standing on some farmers recorded lands and to shift those cutting trees for sawing, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bolangir and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/-.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Kalandi Charan Bhuyan, Former Jr. Accountant-cum-Lease Clerk, office of DFO, (Territorial), Bolangir (Retired) following his conviction.
